Complementary Dragons March 6, 2012

The 2nd graders recently finished imagining their very own Chinese dragon, in honor of the Lunar New Year.  Currently, working in teams, the students are drawing and painting large-scale dragons.  Both sets of dragons are being colored in complementary colors: red&green, blue&orange, or yellow&purple.  They are opposites on the color wheel, and when mixed together, make gray.

Next Wednesday, the 2nd graders have been challenged to wear complementary colored clothing to school!  We’ll see how they do…
