JK Self Portraits March 12, 2012

Using the junk/found object collection, the junior kindergarteners created self portraits.  They had to identify paper for the closest match to their skin tone; and then select objects to represent all the facial characteristics.  After gluing the objects, the students created observational drawings of their creations.  This was the first attempt and lesson on observational drawings, and these 5 year olds were incredible!
